AB  - Amaç:Bu çalışmanın amacı sosyo-demografikdeğişkenlerin Gazi Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesi endodonti hastalarınınmemnuniyetleri üzerine etkisini incelemektir.Gereçve Yöntem: Mezuniyet öncesi öğrencilerin çalıştığıbir klinikte ve mezuniyet sonrası asistanların çalıştığı iki klinikte (toplamüç endodonti kliniğinde) 24.04.2018 – 04.07.2018 tarihleriarasında hastalara memnuniyet anketi uygulandı. Hastaların sosyo-demografikbilgisi kaydedildi (cinsiyet, yaş, medeni durum, eğitim durumu, hanehalkıgeliri) ve 8anket maddesinin her birinin hastaya ifade ettiği önem ve memnuniyet derecesi5’li Likert skalası ile ölçüldü. Geçerli 259 anket (114 erkek, 145 kadın; ortalama yaş ± standart sapma: 39.20± 11.45; istatistikselgüç ≥%95) elde edildi. Kategorik değişkenler için ki-kare testi, önem ve memnuniyetskorlarının grup-içi karşılaştırılmasında Wilcoxon testi, gruplar-arası skorfarklarının karşılaştırılmasında Wilcoxon testi veya Kruskal-Wallis H testi veDunn post hoc testi kullanıldı (α=0.05).Bulgular: Üç klinikte sosyo-demografik değişkenlerin dağılımıbirbirine benzerdi (p>0.05). Üç kliniğin verisi birleştirildiğinde,sosyo-demografik değişkenlerden yalnızca ‘eğitim durumu’ için istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark görüldü; buna göre ‘ortaokul veya daha az’eğitim düzeyine sahip olanların daha yüksek eğitim düzeylilere göre anlamlışekilde daha fazla memnun kaldığı bulundu (p<0.05). Diğer taraftan,gruplar-arası anlamlı fark olmamakla beraber, grup-içi analizler dikkate alındığındaerkeklerde, en genç yaş grubu olan 18-27 yaş aralığında, evli olmayanlarda vedaha yüksek hanehalkı geliri olanlarda memnuniyet eğilimi daha fazlaydı.Sonuç: Gazi Üniversitesi Diş Hekimliği Fakültesindeki endodontihastalarının memnuniyetleri üzerine etkisiincelenen sosyo-demografik değişkenlerden sadece eğitim durumu belirginetki gösterdi; daha düşük eğitim seviyesine sahip hastalarda memnuniyet dahayüksekti.

N2  - Objective: To evaluate the effect ofsocio-demographic factors on the endodontic patients’ satisfaction at theFaculty of Dentistry at Gazi University.Materials and Method: Patient satisfaction questionnaireswere applied between 24.04.2018 – 04.07.2018 at threeendodontic clinics where undergraduate (one clinic) and graduate students (twoclinics) practiced. The socio-demographic information of the patients wasrecorded (gender, age, marital status, education level, household income). Theemphasis and satisfaction responses given by the patients to 8 questionnaireitems were measured using a 5-point Likert scale. The number of validquestionnaires was 259 (114 men, 145 women; average age ± standard deviation: 39.20 ± 11.45years;statistical power ≥95%). Chi-square test (for categorical variables), Wilcoxontest (for intra-group comparisons between the emphasis and satisfactionscores), and Wilcoxon or Kruskal-Wallis H test and Dunn post hoc test (for inter-group comparison of the score differences)were used in the statistical analysis (α=0.05).Results: The distribution of the socio-demographic variableswere similar among the three clinics (p>0.05). When the data of theseclinics were combined, a statistical significance was found only for the‘education level’; patients with an education level equal to or less thansecondary school were more satisfied than those with a higher education level(p<0.05). On the other hand, without any inter-group statisticalsignificance and according to the intra-group analyses, the following groupstended to have greater satisfaction: men, 18-27 age range (the youngest agegroup), unmarried, and those with higher household income.Conclusion:Among the socio-demographic variables of the endodontic patients of the Facultyof Dentistry of Gazi University, only the ‘education level’ had a remarkableeffect on the patients’ satisfaction; those with relatively lower education hadgreater satisfaction.
