Because of this cultivation method, it emergens as the most important plant protection problem weeds especially aquatic weeds. Diplachn fusca (L.) P. Beauv. (beetle grass), which began to attractattention in the last decade in this weeds and areas where the problems are increasing, is has taken its place among the most important weeds in rice. D. fusca is annual or prennial, nonrhizome, growing seeds and a narrow-leaved plant. D. fusca, which is lightgreen, many tillering and a plant in the Graminae family, D. fusca can reach 25-150 cm height depending on ambient conditions. D. fusca seeds, which are mature and form many seed, yellowish brown and 1 mm in size. It can be easily separated from rice because of thinner and lighter green color of its leaves. D. fusca is a plant that is located in Australia’s local flora. It has emerged as a major weed problems with the start of intensive rice cultivation in this area since 1922. This plant, its origin is Australia, has spread to all continents of the world. In our country, its contamination has been discovered in Thrace Region. It was included in 2006 to Turkey’s flora. Herbicides is one of the most widely used methods at struggle against with D. fusca like other weeds in rice cultivation. Due to very intensive herbicide usage, resistance problem against with herbicides arises at this species also. D. fusca are increasing each day because of these problems in both the struggles and the plant’s invasive character. For this reason, this study is prepared on the assembly quality about definition, biology, spread shape and struggles of this plant that its struggle is extremely important for rice cultivation}, number={3}, publisher={Türkiye Herboloji Derneği}
