The new discrete distribution belongs to the resilience parameter family and handles a decreasing, increasing, upside-down and bathtub-shaped hazard rate function. The new distributions can also be considered as discrete analogs of some recent continuous distributions belonging to the known Marshall-Olkin family. Here, some basic statistical and mathematical properties of the new distribution are studied.
