AB  - Osmanlı devletinde ekonomik ve siyasi sıkıntılar özellikle 19.yy sonlarından itibaren yurt dışı göç hareketlerinin oluşmasına neden olmuştur.Devletin yüzyıllardır uyguladığı göç politikalarından farklı bir şekildemeydana gelen bu göçlerin büyük bir bölümü ise “Yeni Dünya” dadenilen Amerika kıtasına yönelik olmuştur.Biz bu çalışmamızda, XX.yy. başlarında Amerika kıtasına gerçekleşen göçleri özellikle Arjantin’deki Osmanlı Konsolosluğundan gönderilen raporlar ışığında ekonomik ve kültürel açıdan ele almaya çalıştık.Çünkü bu göçler üzerine yapılacak araştırmalar, sadece gerçekleştiği dönemin koşullarını değil, aynı zamanda, günümüzde söz konusuülkelerdeki Osmanlı kaynaklı grupların varlığını ve kökenlerini ortayakoyacaktır.

N2  - The economic and political difficulties in the Ottoman Empire gaverise to emigration movements especially from the late 19th centuryon, and in most of these cases, which were different from the usualpolicies in this respect, the destination was America, also known asthe “New World”.The focus of this study is on the emigration to the continent of America in the early 20th century particularly in the light of reports of economic and cultural issues sent by the Ottoman Consulate in Argentina.We looked into the reasons and lives of the Ottoman subjects who hademigrated to the regions mentioned in these reports as researchesinto such emigration cases will reveal not only the circumstances ofthe period but also the existence and family roots of such groups ofOttoman descent.
