While 38.6% of the nurses had information about spina bifida, 61.4% didn’t.We determined that point average of nurses’ information level about spina bifida was 9.53±2.23. Among the nurses, those who were university graduates, have been working between 6 and 10 years, working in operation theater or those who had previous knowledge on spina bifida received higher points. CONCLUSION: Showing that most of the nurses lack the necessary information about spina bifida, we suggest that nurses need to be educated on subjects such as home-care of children with spina bifida, how to approach a child with with spina bifida and their counseling and rehabilitation.}, number={1}, publisher={Aydin Adnan Menderes University}
