Also the infestation of Eustrongylidesexcisus being paratenic hosts on pike-perch due to its predator feedingregime. The importance of this nematode is the ability of the capacity toinfect carnivorous organisms and humans that feed on them. In this study, Eustrongylides excisus infestation wasdetermined from 51 samples of pike perch (Sanderlucioperca L., 1758) between October 2015 and February 2016 from LakeMarmara (Manisa, Turkey). Each sample was observed and the prevalence of theinfestation was detected 100%. Theparasite samples were examined in Carl Zeiss 300 VP scanning electronmicroscope. The capsulated and encapsulated parasites were found in variousmuscles, abdominal cavity and on the internal organs. Also, one sample wasdetected in the swim bladder without any harm. From scanning electronmicroscopy overviews, lips and papillae circles were detected on the anteriorportion of the body as characteristics for diagnosis of the genus Eustrongylides.
