N2  - Subacromial impingement syndrome is the leading cause of shoulder pain. The aim is this study is to evaluate demographical data in patients with subacromial impingement syndrome. This study was carried out on 35 female, 17 male a total of 52 patients They were reported between 2006 October - 2007 June at Erciyes University Medical Faculty Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Age gender, job, dominant hand, duration of the disease of all patients were asked about. The mean age of the patients was 49,21±12,64 years. The patients were commonly housewives, workers, officials, and retirees 53.8%, 19.2%, 15.4% and 11.5% respectively. While 36.5% of the patients had primary by, 7.7% secondary, 23.1% had hig school and 5.8% had university education, %26,9 were illiterate.The median of duration of the disease was three months in this study. There were 49 patients with right dominant hand and three patients with left dominant hand. 32 patients had impingement syndrome in their right shoulders and 20 patients had it in their left shoulders. This study has shown that for subacromial impingement syndrome most commonly occur in housewives and workers
