Örnek model olarak nüfus yoğunluğu açısındanyükselen potansiyele sahip olan Hakkâri Üniversitesi modeli ele alınmıştır.Korunma sisteminin bulunması durumunda risk değerinin, koruma sistemlerininbulunmadığı duruma göre önemli oranda azaldığı gözlenmiştir. LPD (Yıldırım koruma sistemi) ve SPD(Parafudr) sistemlerinin insanların hayat güvenliği için son derece önemliolduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.
