AB  - Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye'de spor üniversitelerinin kurulmasınınönemini açıklamaktır. Literatür taraması yapıldı. Dünyanın değişik ülkelerindespor üniversiteleri ve spor enstitüleri bulunmaktadır. Bazı üniversitelerde isegüçlü spor fakülteleri, spor yüksekokulları veya diğer fakültelere bağlı sporlailgili bölümler mevcuttur. Türkiye’de Spor fakülteleri, Spor Yüksekokulları vebaşka fakültelere bağlı sporla ilgili bölümler bulunmaktadır. Sporla ilgilisıralamalarda üniversiteleri ilk sıraları alan devletlerin olimpiyatlarda dabaşarılı olduğu görülmüştür. Yine Global spor indeksine göre başarılı olanülkeler sporda da başarılı olduğu tespit edilmiştir.Sonuç: Türkiye’de bir veyabirkaç Spor alanına özel Üniversitenin acilen kurulmasına ihtiyaç olduğusonucuna varılmıştır. Türkiye’de Spor Üniversitelerinin kurulması Türkiye’yesportif, sosyal, ekonomik ve siyasal anlamda başarı ve itibar kazandıracaktır.Söz konusu üniversite veya üniversitelerin spor tesisleri iklimsel özelliklerdedikkate alınarak kurulmasında fayda vardır. Ankara, İstanbul, İzmir gibi büyükillerde spor üniversitesi kurulması gerekmektedir. Ayrıca kış sporları içinErzurum, Yaz sporları için Antalya ve Mücadele sporları için Karadeniz ortaşehri samsunda birer üniversite kurulması önerilebilir.

N2  - The aim of this study is to explain the importanceof establishing universities of sports in Turkey. Literature review wasperformed. There are sports universities and sports institutes in differentcountries of the world. In some universities, there are sports-relateddepartments, sports schools (College) or other sports related departments.Sports faculties in Turkey, sports schools and sports-related departmentslinked to other faculties are available. The states that ranked first in the sportsrelated rankings were also successful in the Olympics. The countries which aresuccessful according to the Global sports index have been found to besuccessful in sports. Conclusion: It was concluded that one or more of sportsUniversity in Turkey that there needs to be urgently established. The establishment of the Sports University inTurkey in Turkey sporting, social, economic and political sense will bringsuccess and reputation. It is useful toestablish the universities or universities in question by considering thesports facilities in climatic conditions. It need Establishment of SportsUniversity in the major cities such as Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir. In addition,it may be recommended to establish a university for winter sports in Erzurum, Antalyafor summer sports and a university in the middle of the Black Sea for FightingSports.
