For many years, Turkeyhas been involved in immigration studies as a transit country with a focus oninternational migration. However in this study, Turkey will be analyzed as adestination country. The rights granted to persons having internationalprotection status in Turkey are explained in detail in the Law on Foreignersand International Protection. For instance, according to this law, allinternational protection status applicants or holders can benefit primary,secondary and tertiary health care services free of charge. So, within thescope of this study, health services provided to persons having internationalprotection status will be evaluated in detail. Türkiye uluslararasıgöç çalışmaları içinde uzun yıllar boyunca transit bir ülke olarak elealınmıştır. Ancak bu çalışmada Türkiye hedef ülke olarak ele alınacaktır.Türkiye’de uluslararası koruma statüsü altında bulunan bireylerin çeşitlihakları 2013 yılında kabul edilen Yabancılar ve Uluslararası Koruma Kanunu (YUKK)ile garanti altına alınmıştır. Örneğin, bu kanuna göre tüm uluslararası korumastatüsü başvuru sahibi kişiler birinci, ikinci ve üçüncü basamak sağlıkhizmetlerinden ücretsiz olarak yararlanabilmektedir.
