AB  - Evcilhayvanların mide ve bağırsaklarında batıcı ve batıcı olmayan yabancı cisimlereoldukça sık rastlanılmaktadır. Yabancı cisimlerin yol açtığı tıkanmalarda engüvenilir sağaltım yönteminin operasyon olduğu bildirilmektedir. Çalışmamateryalini Erciyes Üniversitesi Veteriner Fakültesi Hayvan Hastanesinegetirilen 6 (4 erkek, 2 dişi) adet kangal köpeği oluşturdu. Klinik ve laboratuvarmuayenesi yapılan hayvanlar rutin operasyon hazırlıkları tamamlandıktan sonraoperasyona alındı. Yapılan operasyonlarda yabancı cismin 2 olguda piloriste,diğer 4 olguda ise ileumda olduğu tespit edildi. Postoperatif 30. ve 60. günlerde kontrolleri yapılan hayvanlarıntamamen düzelmiş olduğu ve herhangi bir komplikasyon şekillenmediği görüldü.Sunulan bu çalışmada, köpeklerde tespit edilenyabancı cismin koyun kulak küpesi olduğu görüldü. Tespit edilen yabancıcisimler hayvanlara beslenme amacı ile verilen gıdalara dikkat edilmesi gerekliliğini gösterdi. Ayrıca gastrointestinalyabancı cisimlerin laboratuvar bulguları ışığında net olarak tespit edilmesinin güçlüğü ve bunedenle görüntüleme yöntemleri ile desteklenmesi gerektiği bir kez dahaortaya koyuldu. Özellikle radyoopak cisimlerin tespiti için radyografikgörüntülemenin gerekli ve yeterli olduğu kanısına varıldı.

N2  - Prickingor non pricking foreign bodies are common in domestic animals’ stomach andintestine. It is reported that operation is the most reliable treatment methodof obstruction caused by foreign body. Six Turkish Sepherd dogs (4 male, 2female) referred to Eriyes University Veterinary Faculty Animal Hospital wereused as material. After clinical, laboratory examination and operativepreparation the animals were operated on. In operations, the foreign bodieswere found in pylorus (2 cases) and in ileum (4 cases). At the controls on the30th and 60th days in postoperative periods, nocomplication was seen in any of the animals. In this study detected foreignbodies detected were sheep ear rings. The identified foreign bodies showed theneed to pay attention to the foods given to the animals for feeding purposes.Furthermore, it was once again demonstrated that gastrointestinal foreignbodies could not be clearly identified in the light of laboratory findings, andtherefore it should be supported by imaging methods. It is concluded thatradiographic imaging is necessary and sufficient for the detection of theradiopaque bodies.
