Methodology- For the purpose of the research, the datawhich were collected from 235 blue collar workers from one of thetransportation company by the survey method were analyzed by using partial least squares–structural equation modeling method. Whileconducting analysis, Smart PLS program was used by applying bootstrappingtechnique (5000 resample) to determine the significance levels of the proposedhypotheses and also Anderson and Gerbing(1988) two-step approach has been used.Findings- Research results indicate that some of thedimensions of job demands labelled as work overload, role ambiguity and jobinsecurity have a positive and significant effect on job related strain.However, job insecurity has a negative and significant effect on employees’safety behaviors. In addition, research results show that one of the componentof job resources which is addressed as organizational support has a positiveand significant effect on employees’ safety behaviors. Conclusion-The study reveals that job demands and jobresources are the significant determinants of the job related strain and safetybehaviors. Therefore, it can be concluded that in order to remove unsafebehaviors and decreasing job related strain, organizations need to maintainfavourable working conditions which considers work life balance and employees’well-being.
