KW - Domates; Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. radicis-lycopersici; FORL; Dayanıklılık N2 - Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. radicis-lycopersici (FORL) causing crown and root rot brings about significant yield losses in tomato growing areas. In this study, the inheritance of resistance to this disease was investigated. F1, F2, and BC1 fromcrossing resistant line ‘Fla. 7781’ and susceptible line ‘560’ and parents were inoculated with FORL isolate. 493 F2 plants, 476 BC1 plants, 30 F1 plants, 30 resistant and 30 susceptible plants were used in the test. The results were evaluated according to the χ2 (chi-square) test. Chi-square value was 0.298 (P = 0.585) obtained from F2 segregation population tested for FORL and the hypothesis 3:1/R:S segregation was accepted. Similarly, chi-square value was 1.64 (P = 0.199) obtained from tested BC1 plants and this result did not showed significant deviation from the hypothesis 1:1. The experiment showed that the gene confering resistance, named FORL was single dominant. CR - Agrios, G.N. 1988. Plant Pathology, 3rd Ed. Academic Pres, Inc., New York, pp 803.
