This study was conductedto determine the knowledge, and opinions of individuals living in the citycenter of Bingol about infectious diseases. The population of this descriptiveand cross-sectional study consisted of individuals aged 18 years and overliving in the city of Bingol. The studywas completed with 638 people. The variables of age, educational level andprofession in the study made a difference in terms of the statuses aboutknowledge, attitude and opinions (p<0.05). Briefly all the parts of thesystem from family physicians to patients, from family health centers tocommunity health centers, from primary care to laboratories, and from cities tocountries have responsibilities in the fight against infectious diseases. Bu araştırma, Bingöl ilmerkezinde yaşayan bireylerin, bulaşıcı hastalıklar konusundaki bilgi vegörüşlerini tespit etmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Tanımlayıcı kesitsel tipte olançalışmanın evrenini Bingöl İlinde yaşayan 18 yaş ve üstü bireyleroluşturmuştur. Araştırma 638 kişi ile tamamlanmıştır. Çalışmada, yaş, eğitimdüzeyi ve meslek değişkenlerinin bilgi, tutum ve görüşle ilgili olarak elealınan durumlar açısından fark oluşturduğu görülmüştür (p<0.05). Bulaşıcı hastalıklarlamücadelede, aile hekimlerinden hastalara, aile sağlığı merkezlerinden toplumsağlığı merkezlerine, birinci basamaktan laboratuvarlara, şehirlerden ülkelere,kısaca sistemin birlikte hareket eden tüm parçalarına sorumluluk düşmektedir.
