AB  - Zihnin bilimsel çerçevede incelenmesi olaraktanımlanan “bilişsel psikoloji”; mimarlık, eğitim, psikoloji gibi birçokdisiplin tarafından ele alınan bir çalışma alanıdır. Mimarlık alanında, zihinişleyişinin tasarım ve yaratıcılık üzerindeki etkilerini anlayabilmek için,kişisel ve kültürel bilgilerle gelişen “biliş” kavramının üzerinde durulmasıgerekmektedir. Bir toplumun zihinlerinde depoladıkları bilgiler süreç içindeimgeler, kelimeler, fikirler ve tepkiler şeklinde temsil edilmektedir. Budurum, bir topluma ait davranış ilkelerini yansıtan kültürel bileşenlerioluşturmaktadır. Dolayısıyla, mimari yaratıcılıkta bilişsel psikolojinin etkisiile kültür ve biliş ilişkisi önemli bir yer tutmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, “biliş”,“kültür” ve “mimari tasarım” alanlarını ele alırken, yaratıcılığın bilişselolarak nasıl çalıştığı üzerinde durulmaktadır. Bu bağlamda, mimari tasarımdakibilişsel etkiler sırasıyla bilgi depolama şekilleri, bilişsel şemalar, kültürkavramı, kültürel kodlar ve kültürel şemalar kapsamında tartışılmaktadır.

N2  - “Cognitive psychology” which can be defined as the scientificexamination of the mind, has been handled by many disciplines such asarchitecture, city planning, education and psychology. In the field ofarchitecture, in order to understand the effects of mental functioning ondesign and creativity, it is necessary to focus on the concept of cognitionwhich develops with personal and cultural knowledge. The information stored inthe minds of a society is often represented as images, words, ideas, andreactions. This also constitutes cultural components that reflect theprinciples of behavior that are specific to a society. Therefore, the influenceof "cognitive psychology" and the relationship between"culture" and "cognition" play an important role inarchitectural creativity and design, as well as how one can understand therelationship between man and environment. In this study, while dealing with thefields of "cognition", "culture" and "architecturaldesign" it is emphasized how creativity works cognitively. In thiscontext, cognitive influences in architectural design are discussed in thecontext of information storage types, cognitive schemes, the concept ofculture, cultural codes and cultural schemes, respectively.
