AB  - Immediately after the coup attempt of 15 July, a state of emergencywas declared throughout the country for a period of ninety days from 21July 2016 by the Council of Ministers' decision dated 20 July 2016 andnumbered 2016/9064 under article 120 of the Constitution on grounds of“widespread acts of violence and a serious deterioration of public order”. ThisCouncil of Ministers' decision was published in the Official Gazette andsubmitted to the Parliament for approval in accordance with article 121/1of the Constitution and was approved by the decision of the Parliamentdated 21.7.2016 and numbered 1116; later, it has been extended for threemonths each time.
