N2  - In the paper entitled “Marine Flora of Sinop (Black Sea, Turkey)” by Aysel et al. (2004), in the E.U. Journal of Fisheries & Aquatic  Sciences [21 : 59-68], Seirospora giraudyi (Kützing) De Toni (Rhodophyceae, Ceramiales) was reported as a new record for  Turkey from the Sinop (Black Sea). But this species was reported before from the Iskenderun Gulf (Hatay, northeastern  Mediterranean Sea) by Taşkın et al. (2000)
