Araştırmanın evrenini, öğrenim gören kız8200 kız öğrenci oluşturdu. Çalışma, araştırmaya katılmaya gönüllü 944 kızöğrenciyle tamamlandı. Veriler öğrencilerin sosyo-demografiközelliklerini, tamamlayıcı sağlıkyaklaşımlarını (TSY) kullanma durumlarını saptamaya yönelik geliştirilen anketformu ile toplandı. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde; ki-kare ve bonferroni testi kullanıldı. Bulgular: Üniversiteli kızöğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 18.8±0.8 olarak bulundu. Katılımcıların %99,6’sının bekâr, %65.7’siningelir durumunun orta düzeyde olduğu, %79.9’unun TSY kullandığı belirlendi.Öğrencilerin TSY olarak %85 egzersiz, %73.2 müzik dinleme, %67.7masaj, %55.1 sıcak-soğuk kompres, %44.7 duş alma, %42.9 uyku, %1.3 yoga, %1akupunktur, %0.3 hipnoz; alternatif tedavi yöntemleri (bitkisel ve besinselyaklaşım) olarak %87 bitkisel terapi, %85.8 vitamin-mineral kullandıklarıbulundu.Sonuç: Üniversiteli kızöğrencilerin büyük çoğunluğu TSY kullanmaktadır. TSY’ndan en fazla bitkiselterapiye başvurulmaktadır. Üniversite öğrenimi sırasında evde kalan ve sigarakullanan kız öğrenciler TSY yöntemlerini daha fazla kullanmaktadır. KW - Tamamlayıcı Sağlık Yaklaşımı KW - üniversite KW - kız KW - öğrenci N2 - Objective: Thisresearch was carried out to determine the situation of a complementary healthapproaches use and affecting factors ofamong female university students .Methods: Thiscross-sectional and descriptive study was carried out on female studentsstudying at Yozgat Bozok University. The population of the study was composedof the 8200 female student at the University. The study was completed with 944female students volunteering to participate in the research. The data wascollected by using questionnaire consisting of the information about thestudents demographic characteristics and using state of complementary healthapproaches (CHA). In the evaluation of the data Chi-square test and bonferroni were performed.Results: The mean ageof the university female students was 18.8±0.8. It wasdetermined that 99.6% of the participants were single and 65.7% of them were inthe middle of economic status, 79.9% of used CHA. Students used of CHA were,exercise (85.0%), listening music (73.2%), hot-cold compress (55.1%), shower(44.7%), sleep (42.9%), yoga (1.3%), acupuncture (1%), hypnosis (0.3%). Studentuse of alternative treatment methods were herbal therapy (87.2%), vitamin-mineralsupport (85.8%). Conclusions: It was found that the students used the largest of CHA. Among CHA mostherbal therapy is used. Female students who stay at home and smoke during theiruniversity education use CHA methods more.
