Participants of the study are 1133 high school students receiving education in public schools in the city of Burdur. The data of the study were collected by using a questionnaire developed by the researchers. The data were analyzed via Logistic Regression. According to the findings, 15% of the students consider dropping out of school. This rate was found to be 14% among the academic high school students and 17% among the vocational high school students. Common significant variables of the study are want to continue higher education, receiving disciplinary punishment and mother’s education level. Not want to continue higher education, receiving disciplinary punishment and mother’s lower level of education were found to increase the possibility of dropping out of school in both the academic and vocational high school students. Absenteeism and working in an income-generating job outside the school were found to significantly predict students’ intention of drop out of school only in the academic high school students and grade point average and grade level were found to significantly predict students’ intention of drop out only in the vocational high school students.}, number={1}, publisher={Cukurova University}
