Ancak anne sütünün verilmesinin mümkün olamadığı, yetersiz olduğu durumlarda endüstriyel olarak üretilen formulalar verilmesi önerilmektedir. İnek sütü protein bazlı olan formulalar anne sütüne mümkün olduğunca benzetilmeye çalışılmakla birlikte henüz anne sütünün tüm özelliklerini içeren bir formula bulunmamaktadır. Bebeğin gelişimi büyümesi ve nörolojik gelişimini sağlayacak formulalar kullanılmalıdır. Son yıllarda inek sütü protein alerjisindeki artışlar nedeniyle alternatif olarak diğer memeli sütleri ve bitkisel bazlı sütlerin kullanımı tartışılmaya başlanmıştır. Ancak diğer memeli sütlerinin ve bitkisel bazlı ürünlerin besinsel içeriklerinin kalite ve kantitesinin tam olarak çocukların ihtiyacını karşılayabilmesi henüz mümkün değildir. Bu nedenle anne sütü alternatifi kullanılması endike ise önce hekimin önerisi ile aileye öneride bulunulmalıdır. The use of mammalian milk and herbal milk hasstarted to be discussed as an alternative due to the increase incow’s milk protein allergy. However, it is not yet possible thatthe quality and quantity of other mammalian milk and herbalnutritional ingredients may not fully meet their needs.Thereforechoose human milk alternative should be suggested to the familywith the recommendation of the physician.
