There has been a lot of studies about meta-analysis for a long time but there ar a few studies about statistical power in meta-analysis. On the other hand, statistical power calculations are quite an important part of sound statistical planning in both primary studies and meta-analysis. In this study, the calculation of statistical power of statistical tests was considered for random effects model in meta-analysis where is Pearson correlation as effect size. The calculations were made for simulation and analytical procedures separately and it was investigated whether differences between simulation power and analytical power. It was purposed to give the researchers that will calculate simulation power in meta-analysis a preliminary knowledge of conditions required for desired power level in this study. The calculating formulas of analytical power in meta-analysis are produced under some suppositions. So analytical power can be impressed them. In this study, it was investigated whether this impression is important by exploiting the differences between the simulation power and analytical power to be calculated under the same conditions}, number={1}, publisher={Hakan YALAP}
