AB  - Edoardo Volterra'nın 11 Mart 1966'da Pontifical Gregorian Üniversitesi'nde düzenlenen konferansta sunduğu Giustiniano I e le Scuole di Diritto (I. Iustinianus ve Hukuk Okulları) bildirisi Doğu Roma imparatoru I. Iustinianus'un hakimiyetinde (527-565) gerçekleştirilen yasa çalışmalarını, Corpus Iuris Civilis'in derlenmesi için bir araya getirilen Tribonianus gibi memurları içeren komisyonları ve bu komisyonlardaki hukuk okullarının etkisini, aynı zamanda bu hukuk okullarındaki hukukçuların Geç Antikçağ'da neler yaptıklarını ve hangi faaliyetlerde bulunduklarını, onlardan günümüze kalan fragmanlarını içermektedir. Bu dönemde imparatorluk içinde Beyrut, Sezariye, İskenderiye, Antakya ve İstanbul’da beş büyük hukuk okulu bulunmaktadır. Iustinianus tarafından oluşturulan komisyonda ve Corpus’ta hukuk okullarının etkisi ne kadardır? Corpus derlemesinde Iustinianus’un ulaşmak istediği hedef nedir? Sorulması gereken sorular bunlardır.

N2  - The paper about "Justinian I and Law Schools" (Giustiniano I e le Scuole di Diritto) presented by Edoardo Volterra at the conference held at Pontifical Gregorian University on 11 March 1966, includes the law studies carried out under the rule of the Eastern Roman emperor Justinian (527-565),  bureaucrats such as Tribonianus on the commission gathered for the compilation of Corpus Iuris Civilis and the influence of the law schools in these commissions, as well as what the lawyers study in these law schools during Late Antiquity and what activities they did. During this period, there are five major law schools in Beirut, Caesarea, Alexandria, Antioch and Istanbul. What was the influence of law schools in the commission established by Justinian? What was Justinian's aim in the Corpus collection? These are the questions that should be asked.
