The paper commences with a brief background to the analysis methods. Firstly, the AE signals detected under different operating conditions are analysed in time and frequency domains. It has been found that an increase in cutting speed or feed rate increases the strength of AE activity which is clearly reflected by the statistical parameter. Moreover, the cutting speed rather than the feed rate is more influential on the occurrence of burn damage. When the cutting speed is increased, the workpiece has been damaged severely and the AE content around 86kHz is significantly reduced.}, number={2}, publisher={Usak University}
