AB  - Suınmary The export of freshwater erayfish from Turkey to the various eountriesof Europe inereased in reeent years (It amounted to 2,5 millian dallar in 1975).A rcseareh has not been made cxaetly yet on the taxonomy, the distribution and thespeeies and subspecics of erayfish in Anatolia. The only speeies is Astacııs IcptodaetylusEseh. 1823 whieh is widc1y distributed in Anatolia.We are anxious of the deereasing of the produetion due to over eatehing, water pollutian and agrieulturel irrigation.But we have begun to study on the bi ology, eu1ture, and plantation of Astaeus leptodaetylus Eseh. in order to inerease the produetion.
