VIiithin the stratum retieulare ofdonal area the skin callagen fibres are l'Oughforming a dense network whilethe elastic fibres are more tender and more dence within the stratum papillareand near the hair follides, the skin glands and tlze walls of blood vessels. Thestratum papillare in tlze skin of leg area as to the density of fibrillar elementscan be divided in two parts: a part of a crisp constitution below the epidermis,and the other more dense part toward the stratum retiıulare.
