AB  - Günümüzde hilelere karşı mücadele etmek işletmelere parasal ve parasalolmayan olumsuz etkilerinden dolayı bir zorunluluk halini almıştır. Hilelerekarşı mücadelede hilenin hangi durumlarda ortaya çıktığını öğrenmek,hile yapanların özelliklerini bilmek önem arz etmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı,-bağımsız denetim açısından- hilelere karşı mücadelede önemli bir roloynayan araştırmaları değerlendirmek, ortak yönlerini ve farklılıklarınıortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda, KPMG’nin “Bir SuistimalcininProfili”, PWC’nin “Küresel Ekonomik Suç Raporu” ve ACFE’nin (SertifikalıHile Denetçileri Kurumunun) “Mesleki Hile ve Suistimal Uluslar Raporu”incelenmiştir.

N2  - Due to the monetary and non-monetary negative impacts by frauds uponenterprises, it becomes essential to deal with frauds. Hence, it is extremelyimportant to figure out in what instances frauds take place and themain features and motives of those who commit fraud in dealing withthe frauds. The purpose of this study is to review the research that plays determinative role in dealing with frauds with particular reference to auditingand to reveal the similarities as well as differences in these accounts.To this end, “Who is the Typical Fraudster” report by KPMG, “Global EconomicCrime Survey” by PWC and the Report to the Nations on OccupationalFraud and Abuse by ACFE are evaluated and analyzed.
