Totally 142 tombs have been unearthed in the field, located in the Western Necropolis of Teos. There the deceased bodies were buried by three different burial practices: inhumation, cremation and sarcophagus, it determines two phases dating Archaic and Late Classical/ Hellenistic Ages. The Archaic Period tombs are surrounded by peribolos walls, where the Clazomenae sarcophagus and cremation tombs date the end of 6th century bc. Nevertheless, the pithos tombs dating the same period were uncovered outside of the peribolos. However, the other tombs, as tile, cist and cremation, which dated the Late Classical/Hellenistic Period, mainly were built by destroying Archaic Period tumuli graves. Hence, the Late Classical/Hellenistic Age graves unearthed in the Western Necropolis are dated to 4th-3rd century bc and 2nd century.}, number={17}, publisher={Türk Eskiçağ Bilimleri Enstitüsü}
