AB  - Bu çalışmada 10 farklı gıdanın 4’er örneğinde MUG esaslı besiyerleri olan VRB Agar+MUG ve Lauril Sülfat Broth+MUG kullanılmıştır. Katı besiyerinde yayma yöntemi ile E. coli sayısı saptanmıştır.  Araştırma sonuçlarına göre fluorejenik yöntemin kolay ve çabuk bir yöntem olduğu, EMS yönteminde her dilüsyondan 3 tüpe ekim yapmanın yeterli olduğu damlatma yönteminin tatmin edici sonuçlar verdiği görülmüştür.
N2  - 40 samples of 10 different food were investigated for E. coli by MUG based media, VRB Agar+MUG and Lauril Sulphate Broth+MUG. Standard cultural enumeration technique and dropping technique for determining E. coli titer were applied on VRB Agar+MUG 5 ad 3 tubes methods for MPN technique was also investigated.  Results showed that fluoregenic determination of E. coli is a easy and quick method. Inoculation of 3 tubes from each dilution is adequate at MPN enumerations. Dropping method for E. coli titer determination gave satisfactory results.
