Abstract
In this paper the finite time thermodynamic optimization based on the maximum power density criterion has been carried out for an endoreversible Braysson cycle model, which includes finite rate heat transfer irreversibilities during heating and cooling. A Power density function of an endoreversible Braysson cycle has been derived and maximization of this function has been achieved for various design parameters. The obtained results are compared with those results obtained by using the maximum power criterion.
