Abstract

Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation was set up in 1992 under an agreement signed by Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey and the Soviet Union as a forum for consultation and on developments affecting the area. The membership now also extends to Albania, Armenia, Azebaijan, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, and Ukraina. It has three main organizations; parliamentary Assembly of The Black Sea Economic Cooperation(BSEC) The Black Sea Economic Cooperation Business Council and Black Sea Trade and Development Bank. The objectives of the BSEC are the promotion of economic cooperation for achieving peaceful settlement of disputes and for assinting the participant states in their integration in the European and world economy. The field of cooperation include trade and inverstment, transport, communication and energy, tourism, environment, science and research. BSEC is considered a political success and economic integration because it is bringing together in a forum the Black Sea States, However, the practical results are limited to that.
