Microorganisms Isolated From Blood Culture Samples At Firat Medical Center |

In this study, we aimed at evaluating the microorganisms isolated from blood culture samples using BacT/Alert blood culture system in eight months period. Microorganisms were isolated from 200 (16.3%) out of 1228 blood culture samples. Total Gram positive bacteria were 52.5%, and most frequently isolated microorganisms were S. aureus (20.5%), coagulase negative Staphylococcus (20.5%), and Acinetobacter spp. (16%).
