Abstract

Coronary artery disease CAD is one of the main causes of morbidity and mortality. The evaluation of myocardial perfusion is important for excluding CAD. In the presence of CAD, it is crucial in determining the extent, severity, and haemodynamic importance of the lesions and deciding for appropriate revascularization strategies. Stress cardiac magnetic resonance imaging does not emit ionising radiation, has high spatial and temporal resolution, is able to evaluate subendocardial perfusion, and is a non-invasive modality; therefore it is the preferred method for myocardial perfusion evaluation.

Abstract

Koroner arter hastalığı mortalite ve morbitenin ana nedenlerinden biridir. Koroner arter hastalığının dışlanmasında ya da varsa koroner arter lezyonlarının yaygınlığının, ciddiyetinin, hemodinamik öneminin belirlenmesinde ve buna bağlı olarak revaskülarizasyon stratejilerine kılavuzluk etmede miyokardiyal perfüzyonun değerlendirmesi önem taşımaktadır. Stres kardiyak MR perfüzyon görüntüleme, iyonizan radyasyon içermemesi, yüksek temporal ve uzaysal çözünürlüğe sahip olması, subendokardiyal perfüzyonun değerlendirilmesini mümkün kılması ve noninvazif bir modalite olması sebebiyle miyokardiyal perfüzyonun değerlendirmesinde tercih edilmektedir.
