High functioning autism in a visually impaired case

Abstract

Behavioral problems are commonly encountered in children and adolescents with congenital visual impairment. Autism-like symptoms were also reported in visually impaired children. In this case report, the clinical picture of high functioning autism and the psychotropic medication use in a 10 years old girl with congenital bilateral visual impairment will be discussed.

Görme kaybı olan bir olguda yüksek fonksiyonlu otizm

Abstract

Doğuştan görme kaybı olan çocuk ve ergenlerde davranış sorunlarına sık olarak rastlanmaktadır. Görme engelli çocuklarda otizm benzeri belirtiler de bildirilmiştir. Bu olgu sunumunda konjenital bilateral görme kaybı olan 10 yaşındaki bir kızda yüksek fonksiyonlu otizm semptomlarının klinik görüntüsü ve psikotrop ilaçların kullanımı ile ilgili deneyimler tartışılacaktır.
