The globalisation period in the world make the developed countries which own the big share of
foreign direct investments turn their directions into the developing countries. For the developing
countries, the resourse difficulties for economical development make the foreign direct
investments more important day by day especially in the crisis period they become extremely
important. In this study; the development of foreign direct investments between 1995 -2008 in
Turkey and Croatia which both are the candidates for the European Union are examined and
compared.
