Methods: The study included 79 women aged 18-40 years, divided into two groups based on their body mass index (BMI). Participants were evaluated during menstruation and ovulation, using the Y balance test, New York Posture Assessment Method (NYPAM), and navicular drop test. Results: Results showed no significant difference between the two groups in terms of postural group distributions and changes in navicular height (p&amp;gt;0.05). Postural scores were significantly higher in both groups during the ovulation phase (p&amp;lt;0.001). There was no significant change in balance dominant extremity anterior reaching between two periods for people of normal weight (p&amp;gt;0.05). However, there was a substantial increase in posteromedial and posterolateral reaching during the ovulation phase (p=0.012). In overweight individuals, the Y balance test showed no significant difference between extremities in anterior and posterolateral directions (p&amp;gt;0.05). However, there was a significant increase in posteromedial direction in dominant and nondominant extremities during the ovulation period (p=0.037, p=0.041). Conclusion: The study revealed that both groups had improved postural scores throughout the ovulation time. Navicular height was not affected by weight or period, whereas balance was better during ovulation in both groups. Poorer balance and posture during menstruation may indicate that women are more vulnerable to injury during this period. It may be useful to teach appropriate body mechanics to protect women from injury during menstrual period.</p>
