Bir Hemşirelik Bölümünde Öğrenim Gören Öğrencilerin Hemşirelik Bakım Davranışları Algısının Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Amaç:Bu araştırma, hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hemşirelik bakımına ilişkin algılarının ve bakımı etkileyen faktörlere ilişkin görüşlerinin incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır.
Hastalar ve Yöntem:Tanımlayıcı nitelikteki bu araştırmanın örneklemini 2019-2020 eğitim-öğretim döneminde bir üniversitenin hemşirelik bölümünde öğrenim gören, araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 142 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri “Tanıtıcı Özellikler Formu” ve “Bakım Davranışları Ölçeği-30 (BDÖ-30)” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri tanımlayıcı istatistikler, Mann Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis Analizi ile incelenmiştir.
Bulgular:Araştırmaya katılan öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 20.80±1.839 yıl, %56.3’ü kadın ve %59.9’u Anadolu lisesi mezunudur. Öğrencilerin BDÖ-30 puan ortalaması 150.79±21.81’dir. Öğrencilerin cinsiyet ve öğrenim gördükleri sınıflarına göre BDÖ-30 puan ortalamaları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık olduğu belirlenmiştir.
Sonuç:Araştırmada öğrencilerin hemşirelik eğitimi sürecinde hemşirelik bakım davranışları algısında artış olduğu, cinsiyet açısından anlamlı farklılıkların olduğu, kadın öğrencilerin puan ortalamalarının daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Hemşirelik bakımının felsefesi ve öneminin birinci sınıftan itibaren ve cinsiyetçi yaklaşımdan arındırılarak aktarılması önerilmektedir.

Determining the Perceptions of Nursing Care Behaviors of Students in a Nursing Department

Abstract

Purpose:This research was carried out to examine the perceptions of nursing students about nursing care and their views related to factors affecting care.
Patients and Methods:The sample of this descriptive research comprised 142 students who were educated in the nursing department of a university during the 2019-2020 academic year and who agreed to participate in the research. The data were collected by the “Introductory Characteristics Form” and the “Caring Behaviors Inventory-30”. Frequencies, descriptive statistics, Mann Whitney U, and Kruskal Wallis were used to analyze the data.
Results:The average age of the students who participated in the research was 20.80±1,839, 56.3% were female and 59.9% were graduated of Anatolian High School. The mean score of the students on the CBI-30 scale was 150.79±21.81. It was determined that there were statistically significant differences between the students\' gender and the classes they educated and the CBI-30 Scale score averages.
Conclusion:In this research, it was determined that there were significant differences in the perception of nursing care behaviors and gender in the nursing education process of the students. It is recommended that the philosophy and importance of nursing care should be transferred from first grade onwards and free from sexist approach.
