                            <p>Unlike the other field teachers, Turkish teachers are one the most important actors implementing a linguistic and cultural teaching besides their own subject matter. Both their pedagogical formation and subject matter proficiency should be well enough to do their share of this task. In this study, a group of Turkish teachers were interviewed. Their competency in terms of pedagogical formation and proficiency in the subject matter were examined. The study group was 5 teachers teaching in the state schools in present. The teachers were the graduates of Turkish Teaching Departments of the different universities. The data of the study were gathered through the semi-structured interview technique. The data gathered were evaluated through content analysis. According to the findings of the study, the Turkish teachers were found to be insufficient in pedagogical side and also they were detected not to have in-depth knowledge in terms of teaching methodology and techniques.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Türkçe öğretmenleri diğer branş öğretmenlerinden faklı olarak kendi alanlarının yanında dil ve kültür öğretimini gerçekleştiren en önemli aktörlerden biridir. Türkçe öğretmenlerinin bu görevi yerine getirebilmelerinde hem pedagojik formasyonlarının hem de alan bilgilerinin yeterli olması gerekmektedir. Bu araştırmada bir grup Türkçe öğretmeniyle görüşme yapılmıştır. Çalışmada, Türkçe öğretmenlerinin pedagojik alan bilgileri (PAB) ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışma gurubunu şu anda MEB’de Türkçe öğretmenliği yapan ve aynı zamanda Türkçe Eğitimi Bölümü mezunu olan beş öğretmenle yapılmıştır. Çalışmanın verileri, yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniğiyle elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler içerik analizine tabi tutularak değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın bulgularına göre Türkçe öğretmenlerinin konu alan bilgilerinin yetersiz, öğretim yöntem ve teknikleri konusunda da eksik bilgiye sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir.</p></abstract>
