                            <p>There has been an increase inlanguage teaching methods as of late and the Lexical Approach has gained animportance for linguistic competence (Schmitt, 2004; Granger, 1998). Thepurpose of this study is to investigate the subcategorizational characteristicsof the verbs of two and more items listed on the website of the TurkishLanguage Association. The research is designed as the Theta theory of Chomsky. Findingsshow that collocational verbs include 36% of the total verb list. Those verbsaccelerate and facilitate learning Turkish.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Son yıllarda yabancı dil öğretimine olan yaklaşımlargelişme göstermektedir ve dil öğrenenlerin dilbilimsel edinçlerini arttırmakaçısından Sözcüksel Yaklaşım büyük bir ilgigörmektedir (Schmitt, 2004 ve Granger, 1998). Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türk DilKurumunun resmî internet sitesinde yer alan Güncel Türkçe Sözlük’teki iki vedaha fazla sözcükten oluşan eşdizimli eylemlerin altulam özelliklerinibelirlemek ve bu özelliklerin Türkçe sözlüklerde yer almasına yönelik bir önerisunmaktır. Çalışmanın araştırma planı Chomsky’nin (1981) önerdiği Rol Kuramı’na(Theta Theory) dayanmaktadır. Eşdizimli eylemler, Türkçedeki toplam eylemlerinazımsanmayacak kadar büyük bir bölümünü (%36) kapsamaktadır. Bu eylemleriöğrenen bir kişinin Türkçeyi öğrenmesinin daha kolay ve hızlı olabileceği öngörülmektedir.</p></abstract>
