The indicator is a stimulant. Language is also considered a string of indicators. The language indicator is the link between a signifier and what is shown. In the communication process, there is a kind of shopping with common codes used among individuals. The most basic code system used in communication is language. The person transmits the message through the code and the receiver decodes the code and makes sense of the message. The development of technology has accelerated communication between individuals and eliminated the limitation of space. However, the concept of transmitting messages with language codes tends to change with the use of some kind of indicative emojis. This situation posed the danger of using direct indicators instead of written expressions in Turkish. Whereas, as the body language increases the power of oral expressions, the origin of emojis is that it only supports written expressions. Communicating directly with emojis without written expression carries the risk of causing conflicts between individuals. The correct understanding of the message will only be possible when using common codes. Even more important than communication problems is that emojis weaken the individual's written communication skills by ignoring the aesthetic and artistic aspects of the language that is aimed at developing in the individual.

İletişim sürecinde bireyler arasında kullanılan ortak kodlarla bir tür alış veriş yaşanmaktadır. İletişimde kullanılan en temel kod sistemi dildir. Verici mesajını kod aracılığıyla karşı tarafa iletir ve alıcı kodu çözerek mesajı anlamlandırır. Teknolojinin gelişimi bireyler arasındaki iletişimi hızlandırmış, mekân sınırlamasını ortadan kaldırmıştır. Ancak dil kodlarıyla mesaj iletme kavramı bir tür gösterge niteliğindeki emojilerin kullanımıyla değişme eğilimi göstermektedir. Bu durum, Türkçe yazılı ifadelerin yerini doğrudan göstergelerin alması tehlikesini ortaya çıkarmıştır. Oysa beden dilinin sözlü ifadelerin etki gücünü artırması gibi emojilerin çıkış noktası da sadece yazılı ifadelere destek olmasıdır. Yazılı ifade olmadan doğrudan emojilerle iletişim bireyler arasında çatışmalara neden olma riski taşımaktadır. Mesajın doğru anlaşılması ancak ortak kodlar kullanıldığında mümkün olacaktır. İletişim sorunlarından daha da önemlisi emojilerin, bireyde geliştirilmesi hedeflenen dilin estetik ve sanatsal yönünü göz ardı ederek bireyin yazılı iletişim becerilerini zayıflatmasıdır.
