<p>In a successful persuasive speech, the preparation step in which the ideas and arguments are organized and the speech text is structured is significant. Even if students are willing to speaking, they may find it difficult to determine the appropriate strategy and technique. Persuasion as a field that has been studied intensively and systematically since the 4th century B.C., enriched with various theories and models, offers a wide range of activities to use strategies and techniques in activities aimed at developing persuasive language skills. Developed by Alan Monroe, Monroe&#039;s Motivated Sequence is one of the persuasion techniques that include attention, need, satisfaction, visualization and action steps, respectively. In this study, the sequence has been discussed within the scope of speaking training and examples of activities including the use of a speech outline and the draft that students can use as a guide in persuasive speech studies are included. Data of this study has been obtained through document rewiev. The findings obtained from the literature show that the use of the technique decreases the speech anxiety of the students, increases their participation in the activities and their speaking performance. The sequence can be handled within the scope of critical listening and persuasive writing, and can be used in the development of skills such as problem solving, creative and critical thinking.</p></trans-abstract>
