<p>The constitution and the laws protect physical integrity. The severity of the damage as a result of the destruction of the physical integrity is one of the most important factors in the determination of the penalty that will be imposed on the individual who causes the physical injury. In addition to the clinical findings obtained during the physical examination, there is a need for radiological investigation for determination of the damage level. The muscle injuries of the cases, which have been detected in the radiological examination, are discussed with respect to medicolegal aspects. The afore-mentioned injuries were said to be the result of an exposure to trauma. Both cases were admitted to an emergency room after the incident and their injuries were described as tenderness, ecchymosis, abrasion, which can be treated by basic medical interventions. Grade 2 and grade 2-3 muscle injuries were detected in their further evaluation with Magnetic Resonance MR imaging. Radiological examinations are important regarding the presence and severity of soft tissue, visceral organs, and bone injuries in the post-traumatic period. Since there is no definition of any findings other than sensitiveness, ecchymosis, and abrasion in their first admission, if the evaluation is done based on only these findings, a report will be prepared to state that injuries can be treated with simple medical interventions. However, the detection of grade 2 and grade 2-3 muscle injuries in MR investigation upon the ongoing medical complaints of these two cases affected the result of the forensic report. Even though no findings are stated or minor injuries which can be treated with simple medical interventions are encountered in the post-traumatic physical examination just like the cases described above, we believe that it is important to reveal complete pathology arising from traumas through radiological examination in the cases with enduring complaints.</p></trans-abstract>
