<p>Purpose: The research was conducted to evaluate the stress perceived by students studying in high schools in the provincial centre of Kırşehir during the COVID-19 pandemic process and to reveal the effect on daytime sleepiness.Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted with 396 students in public high schools in the centre of Kırşehir. Data were collected online and face-to-face between 08.11.2021-28.11.2021 using the ‘Information Form on Descriptive Characteristics’, ‘Perceived Stress Scale’ and ‘Epworth Sleepiness Scale’. Results: The mean total score of the Perceived Stress Scale was 29.35±7.34 and the mean score of the Epworth Sleepiness Scale was 5.56±4.31. It was determined that 17.9% of the students had daytime sleepiness problems. It was found that the Perceived Stress Scale scores of the students whose one of their relatives was infected with COVID-19 were higher than the students who were not infected, and the students who lost a relative due to COVID-19 had higher Perceived Stress Scale scores than the students who did not lose a relative due to COVID-19, and the difference was statistically significant (p</p></trans-abstract>
