OKSİDATİF STRESİN KANSERDEKİ ROLÜ: ANTİOKSİDANLAR KANSER PROGRESYONUNUN YAKITI OLABİLİR Mİ?

Year 2017, Volume: 1 Issue: 1, 8 - 13, 02.08.2017

Abstract

The Role of Oxidative Stress in Cancer: Could Antioxidants Fuel the Progression of Cancer?

Year 2017, Volume: 1 Issue: 1, 8 - 13, 02.08.2017

Abstract

Abstract

Cancer is the second most common cause of death
after cardiovascular disease in worldwide. Along with cancer development,
important changes and events occur in the cells. Various factors in plant, such
as carotenoids, vitamins, phenolic compounds, terpenoids, steroids, have been
shown to decrease risk of disease, including cancer prevention. Recent years,
rapidly growing ambitious studies have been reported that the use of
antioxidant may accelerate the spread and severity of some cancers. This review
focuses on the recent progress regarding negative or positive roles of
antioxidants in cancer.
