Abstract
Three hydatid cyst cases, without any other primary disease and with atypical sites of localization, are reported. Hydatid disease historically most often involves the liver and the lungs; soft tissue and retroperitoneal localizations are rare. The first patient had intramuscular cyst located in the right thorax posterior area, the second had subcutaneous cyst located in the left infraclavicular area, and the third had retroperitoneal cyst in the right iliac fossa. Diagnoses were established when the cysts were removed in the first two cases, while in the retroperitoneal case, diagnosis was established with tomography and serological tests preoperatively. Postoperatively, serologic tests were negative in the first two cases, and other systems were normal in all cases. Since hydatid disease is endemic in our country, we should remember this disease especially when evaluating soft tissue masses.
Abstract
Başka bir primer kaynak saptanamayan atipik lokalizasyonlu üç kist hidatik olgusu sunulmuştur. Kist hidatik hastalığı tarih boyunca görülmüş paraziter bir hastalık olup, en sık karaciğer ve akciğerlerde yerleşmektedir. Yumuşak doku ve retroperiton yerleşimi nadirdir. Sağ toraks arkasında kas içinde, sol klavikuler bölge altında subkutan ve sağ fossa iliakada retroperiton yerleşimli üç olgu sunulmuştur. Kas içi ve subkutan yerleşimli olgularda kistler total eksizyon sonrası makroskopik olarak tanındı. Diğer olguda ise preoperatif tomografik ve serolojik bulgular ile tanı konuldu. İlk iki olguda ameliyat sonrası serolojik testler negatifti. Olgularda diğer organlarda kist hidatik bulgusuna rastlanmadı. Kist hidatik ülkemizde endemik bir hastalık olup atipik yerleşimlerin de sözkonusu olduğu bilinmelidir, özellikle yumuşak doku kitleleri değerlendirilirken bu hastalı ğın hatırlanması gerekmektedir.
