Bu araştırmada amaç, Kahramanmaraş merkezli depremin eğitim, öğrenci ve öğretmenler üzerindeki etkilerini sınıf öğretmenlerinin görüşlerine göre değerlendirmektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırma yaklaşımı içerisinde yer alan durum çalışması metodu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu; Kahramanmaraş merkezli depremin yaşandığı Osmaniye ile Hatay illerinde görev yapan ve kolay ulaşılabilir örneklem seçme yöntemi kullanılarak belirlenen toplam 14 sınıf öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veriler araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler NVivo bilgisayar paket programından yararlanılarak içerik analizi yöntemi ile yorumlanmıştır. Analiz sonucunda; bazı katılımcılara göre depremden sonra okul binalarının hasarlı olduğu ve buna bağlı olarak katılımcıların kaygılı olduğu ve korktuğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Katılımcılar eğitime ara verilmesi ile öğrencilerde öğrenme kayıplarının meydana geldiğini, depremlerin öğrenci ve öğretmenlerin psikolojisini olumsuz yönde etkilediğini ve bu nedenle derse yönelik ilginin azaldığını, öğrencilerin sosyal ilişkilerinin zayıfladığını ve öğrencilerin derse yönelik adaptasyonun bozulduğunu ifade etmişlerdir. Depremin öğrencileri psikolojik, ekonomik ve sosyal açıdan olumsuz yönde etkilediği, öğrencilerin özgüven ve güven duygusunu zedelediği katılımcı ifadelerinden anlaşılmıştır. Depremden sonra öğrencilerin sürekli depremi anlattığı ve yaşanan bu olumsuzlukları henüz atlatamadığı, umutsuz olduğu, üzüldüğü, belirsizlik, çaresizlik duygularını hissettiği ve agresif olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca depremden sonra öğretmenlerin binaya girdiklerinde veya oluşan artçı sallantılardan dolayı kaygı seviyelerinin arttığı ve korktuğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre çeşitli önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
The study aims to evaluate the effects of the earthquake centered in Kahramanmaraş on education, students and teachers according to the views of classroom teachers. In the study, the case study method within the qualitative research approach was used. The study group of the research consisted of a total of 14 classroom teachers working in Osmaniye and Hatay provinces where the Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquake occurred and who were selected using the convenience sampling method. The data were collected through a semi-structured interview form developed by the researchers. The data obtained were interpreted by content analysis method using NVivo computer package program. As a result of the analysis; according to some participants, it was revealed that the school buildings were damaged after the earthquake and accordingly, the participants were anxious and afraid. Participants stated that learning losses occurred in students due to the interruption of education, earthquakes negatively affected the psychology of students and teachers and therefore, interest in the course decreased, students' social relations weakened and students' adaptation to the course deteriorated. It was understood from the statements of the participants that the earthquake had a negative impact on students psychologically, economically and socially and damaged their sense of self-confidence and trust. After the earthquake, it was revealed that students constantly talked about the earthquake and could not overcome these negativities, were hopeless, sad, felt uncertainty, helplessness and were aggressive. In addition, it was revealed that after the earthquake, teachers' anxiety levels increased and they were afraid when they entered the building or because of the aftershocks.
