Abstract

Tetrasiklinler birçok aerobik Gram pozitif ve Gram negatif bakteriye etkili geniş spektrumlu antibiyotiklerdir. Bu grupta yer alan doksisiklinin diğer antibiyotiklere benzer olarak birçok yan etkileri bulunmaktadır. Yazıda bruselloz tanılı hastamızın tedavi seyri sırasında doksisiklinin daha önce belirtilmeyen taşikardi ve ritim bozukluğu yan etkilerinin görüldüğü olgu sunulmuştur

A Case of Brucellosis with Doxycycline-Related Cardiological Adverse Effects

Abstract

The tetracyclines are considered to be broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotics that are being used to treat infections caused by many aerobic gram-positive and gram–negative bacteria. There are some major adverse effects associated with doxycycline, which is considered a tetracycline. In this report, we submit a case where a patient with brucellosis developed tachycardia and arrhythmia, which were not previously known as adverse effects associated with doxycycline
