Fonksiyonel Endoskopik Sinüs Cerrahisi Sırasında Gelişen Orbital Ödem

Year 2019, Volume: 5 Issue: 1, 157 - 159, 01.01.2019

Abstract

Orbital Edema Developing During Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

Year 2019, Volume: 5 Issue: 1, 157 - 159, 01.01.2019

Abstract

Functional endoscopic sinus surgery FESS is preferred for patients who have illness like chronic sinusitis, nasal polyposis or papilloma. Ophthalmic complications associated with FESS are very rare. The most common complications are bleeding, nasolacrimal duct injury, or fracture of the lamina papricea. Acute periorbital edema and chemosis are rarely. Early diagnosis and treatment reduce morbidity. The clinical approach and treatment of periorbital edema and chemosis developing during FESS in a 28-year-old male patient without systemic disease or drug use was evaluated
