Frenk İnciri Yetiştiriciliği

Abstract

Frenk incirinin ekolojik istekleri, botanik tanımlanması, dünyadaki yayılışı ve tarihçesi açıklanmıştır. Türkiye için fazla ekonomik önemi olmayan bu egzotik meyve, sadece taze olarak tüketilir ve çit bitkisi olarak kullanılır, çiçeklerin ve kladodların çiçeklenme zamanında alınması yüksek fiyatla satılan mevsim dışı meyveler oluşturur ve bu özellikle İtalya'da önemli bir yetiştirme tekniğidir.

Growing Prickly Pear

Abstract

Ecological requirements, botanical description and distribution in the world and brief history of Prickly Pear were explained. This exotic fruit has a minor importance in Turkey. It is used as a hedge plant and only consumed as a fresh fruit. Removal of cladodes and flowers in blooming time, an important growing technique particularly in Italy, produces off season fruits that are sold at a high price.
