All AKSOS articles are published with open access under the Creative Commons CC-BY license (the current version is CC-BY, version 4.0). This means that the author(s) retains copyright, but the content is free to access, download, distribute, and adapt for commercial or non-commercial purposes, given appropriate attribution to the original article and copyright holder.

Authors retain copyright and grant the journal (AKSOS) right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) 4.0 License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgment of the work’s authorship and initial publication in this journal.

Provided they are the owners of the copyright to their work, authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal’s published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository, or to publish in a book, to publish in a language other than Turkish or English, etc.), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in this journal. It should be noted that it is not permitted to publish the same work in another academic journal that publishes in Turkish and English.

Authors are permitted and encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, or on their website) prior to and during the submission process.
