                                                                                                <abstract><p>Bu çalışmanın amacı STEM odaklı öğretim süreçlerinde öğrencilerin matematiksel muhakeme becerilerinin incelenmesidir. Çalışma bir eylem araştırmasıdır. Araştırma, bir devlet meslek lisesinin elektrik-elektronik teknolojileri ve otomasyon teknolojileri bölümü 10. sınıfında öğrenim gören 48 öğrenciyle yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada STEM eğitimi, II. dereceden denklem ve fonksiyonlar konusu kapsamında uygulanmıştır. Araştırmanın verileri, ön-test olarak “Cebirsel Muhakeme Değerlendirme” Aracı, son-test olarak “Matematiksel Muhakeme Değerlendirme Aracı” ve saha notları aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmada uygulanan “Cebirsel Muhakeme Değerlendirme Aracı”, I. dereceden denklemler konusunu içermekte olup, ‘Matematiksel Muhakeme Değerlendirme Aracı’ ise II. dereceden denklemler ve fonksiyonlar konusunu kapsamaktadır. Veri analizi sonucunda STEM odaklı öğretimin öğrencilerin matematiksel muhakeme becerilerinin gelişimine katkı sağladığı görülmüştür. Bu kapsamda matematik derslerinde STEM eğitiminin yaygınlaştırılması önerilmektedir.</p></abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
                            <p>The aim of this study is to examine students’ mathematical reasoning skills in STEM-oriented teaching processes. The study is an action research. The research was conducted with 48 students studying in the 10th grade of a state vocational high school, department of electrical-electronic technologies and automation technologies. In the research, STEM education was applied within the scope of quadratic equations and functions. The data of the study were collected through “Algebraic Reasoning Assessment Tool” as a pre-test, “Mathematical Reasoning Assessment Tool” as a post-test and field notes. “Algebraic Reasoning Evaluation Tool” applied in the research includes the subject of first-order equations, and the “Mathematical Reasoning Evaluation Tool” covers the subject of quadratic equations and functions. As a result of data analysis, it was seen that STEM-oriented instruction contributed to the development of students&#039; mathematical reasoning skills. In this context, it is recommended to expand STEM education in mathematics courses.</p></trans-abstract>
